SUNNY (2018) is a remake of the 2011 film. The plot revolves around a woman who tries to fulfill her friend’s dying wish by reuniting their group of friends before she dies. Two different timelines are displayed in the movie, aptly going back and forth as key points in the storyline are introduced or characters are introduced by going from present (2018) to past (90’s).

Though the genre is more drama and real life, there are bits that make this movie worth watching whether you’re learning about Gyaru for the first time or are already an active part of the Gyaru community online and in person.
