Yup, my current boom is a whole former EGG model 🤠. When I first started learning more about Gyaru, she was already modeling for the magazine alongside Hiromi, and she’d always end up catching my eye.
I loved the spunky attitude from her pictures and how colorful her coords were. Even when she did some modeling with Natural Nine, she somehow made Ora look less dark but despite that, still made the style look rebellious. I like to think that she was a Gal that really lived a Gal lifestyle and had fun up until her falling out.
Kanako Kawabata (川端かなこ) is known to be the creator of the AGEPOYO meaning an increase/rise in tension, and even DJ’d as DJ AGEPOYO. She cancelled her contract with EGG abruptly and that’s when all hell broke lose, since her social media and blog at the time immediately got taken down. The biggest rumor was that she was involved with drugs and dating a gangster, however she later announced that none of that was true and that she had decided to pursue DJing more seriously and even made a mix as a Guest DJ alongside DJ Satoshi titled “AGEPOYO Party Mix” (available on iTunes Japan)
Fast-forward and she went on to work as a hostess for CLUB RIRIKA.
